Chris trained at Southampton University and followed that with General Practice Training in Salisbury, Wiltshire, and a year in New Zealand. He joined Markfield Medical Centre in 1991 and led the development of the new Medical Centre there. Chris has been involved in managing the local health service since the 1990s. He was Deputy PEC Chair of Charnwood and North West Leicestershire PCT and then PEC Chair at Leicestershire County and Rutland PCT. He worked closely with other local GPs to ensure the smooth transition to the new CCGs. Chris' main concern is to improve the quality of care provided to patients by the local NHS. Everyone should expect to be treated with respect, skill and care.
